FL Studio - The complete music making program. The best there is. All my mp3s, except one were made using FL Studio.

Rosegarden - What I use to make music on Linux. It is quite powerfull, but it could use a better UI.

Titanic SF - One of the best and biggest free soundfonts that exist out there - Titanic Soundfont. If you can get to download it, that is. The dude's bandwidth is always at 100%

TextPad - What I use to edit php, html, css, C code and sometimes even text files. Extremly usefull, with syntax highlighting, line numbers and can read multiple files.

mIRC - Yes, unbelieveable as it may sound, it is a tool. Except for chatting, you can use its powerfull scripting language for programming.

Eclipse - Cool Java/C++ framework which can also be used on linux.

Dialog Blocks - The best WX Widgets developement environment. You want Delphi (ok, similar enough) for Linux? Or many other OSes? You got it with Dialog Blocks.

wxWidgets - The widget library which DialogBlocks uses. Actually, the same author made both, but the library is more popular (ALOT popular)

SmartFTP - The best FTP client for windows there is. Plus, its 100% free. It cant get better then that.

8Signs Firewall - Remember ConSeal PC Firewall for Windows98? Well, this one is the same (from the same author too), only much better, with many more options. The best firewall, plus its lightweight.

PuTTY - The famous SSH client. Lightweight, but good. Not the best there is, but good. Me, I personally like it. Or I like the name, not sure :)
